The multinational e-commerce company Amazon will soon open its tenth logistics center in Spain at the end of June or beginning of July, specifically in the Castellón town of Onda. Last year it opened centers in Murcia and Illescas (Toledo), while in 2020 it did so in Dos Hermanas (Seville) and Alcalá de Henares (Madrid).
Currently, the American company, which is located, in addition to the towns already mentioned, in El Prat de Llobregat, Castellbisbal and Martorelles (Barcelona), San Fernando de Henares (Madrid) and a second center in Illescas.
Likewise, Amazon has 15 logistics stations spread throughout Spain, with distribution centers and urban centers, already smaller in size. To give an example, the Barcelona center of El Prat de Llobregat alone has an area of 63,000 square meters and employs 3,000 people.

By sectors, Zenon points out, “at Amazon, more than 1,000 employees perform functions in information technology and engineering, and, in the last year, 350 people have been hired in software.
