This week, Isabel Díaz Ayuso, revealed in a radio interview the double operation that was established from the leadership of the Popular Party under the mandate of Pablo Casado and Teodoro García Egea; action that according to the Madrid leader was divided into two ways: the organic division and, “destruction in the personal and in the political”.
The president of the Community of Madrid has recounted this week the situation experienced in recent months, until Casado and Egea have abandoned their positions in active service. She details Ayuso that, “in recent months I have lived to protect myself.”
“Here -says the popular leader- what there was was a two-way operation that focused on dividing the Parliamentary Group in the Assembly; the mayors of the PP of the Community of Madrid and, most serious of all, on dividing the Government”.
“They sold something that was false, that I wanted to move from Madrid”
Secondly, the other leg or route of the operation -he points out- was “destroying myself personally and politically, even destroying my family, even, and selling something that was false, and that is that I wanted to move from Madrid “I – he concluded in this sense – I am at the service of the people of Madrid, and the mayor is too. And that is what we are going to continue doing,” he added.
“Do not tolerate the mafias”
Interview in Es la Mañana de Federico, on esradio, Ayuso stressed that in the last stage of Casado, the PP was eroding considerably. In his opinion, the PP had never experienced anything similar, for this reason – he remarked – “the only thing I ask of the house, which is what I will do if I finally have the opportunity to preside over the party in the Community of Madrid, it is to show that forms matter a lot and -he added-, that mafias should not be tolerated under any circumstances”.
Isabel Díaz Ayuso insists that “the voters have to know that, when they take a ballot that says PP, at least, what I lead, and I know that Feijóo is going to do the same, they are voting for an organization that does not tolerate irregular practices And condemnable, yes, it seems to me”, he affirmed.
Not in vain, he clarified that what is now up to the new leadership of the PP “is not so much cutting heads, as dispensing” with those responsible for the deterioration of the PP.
Mayor Almeida
The mayor – underlined the president of the Community of Madrid “has returned to being what he always was. He is a great manager, loved by the people of Madrid and a hard worker. His best figure is being mayor of Madrid”, she explained regarding the disagreement between the two politicians as a result of Genoa’s persistence in promoting the mayor to the presidency of the PP in Madrid.
Oblivious to that moment, Ayuso admitted that she is glad “to have recovered it 100%”, and “to have a president and a party”, alluding to Alberto Núñez Feijóo.
The congress
Ayuso has also referred in this interview to the PP Congress in Madrid. Regarding this, the popular leader announced that it seems that all the PP congresses will be after the great congress that on April 2 and 3 will end up naming Alberto Núñez Feijóo, new president of the Popular Party.
Ayuso maintains the need for the congresses to be held “as soon as possible” in order to close internal wounds and form parties with “new teams with a vocation”.
Ayuso concluded by adding that today the world is unstable, the future is uncertain, but the “Community of Madrid is going to be there, putting the interests of the citizens before our own”.
