5:05 What was BigBuy’s path to birth like?
After having worked as a store manager at Sony, I made a radical change and went to a German multinational where I learned loyalty and B2B sales models. Being in my last year and a half in this multinational I founded a water treatment company called Futuro H2O, and precisely looking for gifts for the company I was lucky enough to meet my partner, and after doing our business we decided to set up an eCommerce.
27:50 How did you close 2021, at the level: billing, team and number of clients?
BigBuy has a turnover of over 70 million euros, while the rest of the group stands at around 90 million euros. About the team, we are almost 280 people among the whole group of A4B Groupof which we have approximately 55 programmers. Another 50 people dedicated to the field of customer service, where we have a multicultural team, since we serve in more than 15 languages.
34:20 What other projects make up 4B Group?
One of the projects is Big Translation. This is really a company that is completely autonomous, what we have done is spin off and give it our platform to connect with all the translators to translate at BigBuy. The idea was born exclusively with the intention that the translators who worked for us have more work, we use it as a help tool for many companies that have had problems in the translation aspect. BigTranslation represents a network of native translators at a fair price and with an automated system.
40:10 InnovaGoods is another of the group’s projects. What can you tell us about this own brand?
Based on all the experience of almost 8 years of selling products for original gifts, we decided to create a single brand in 2017, in order to centralize all the brands that we were bringing. At that time we had more than 300 brands, because at the time we also sold in different places and we were required to have a brand for each vertical. The world in eCommerce has been changing and that is why we decided to unify all our imports into a single brand, with the concept of seeking a second life for InnovaGoods products. With InnovaGoods we have also gone from only bringing products for gifts to bringing trendy products, innovatorshence the name.
53:10 What is BigBuy’s vision for the future, where do you see yourself in 3 years?
Well, our business plan is for six months. But where do we see ourselves? Well, we see ourselves helping in all this new part of the web, helping brands and suppliers to expand throughout Europe initially. Likewise, we see ourselves multiplying our technological team, especially in the field of IT; and well, with our feet on the ground and knowing that we have a lot to do and hoping that it goes well, leaving a mark and adding value in the world of eCommerce.
