As shown by the data from , the organization that manages the electricity markets of Spain and Portugal and collects their rates, the average price of electricity in Spain during this Friday, March 11, is 284.58 euros/MWh. Very high figures when compared to the price set a year ago, when the MWh cost 38.06 euros.

At what time is electricity cheaper?

Regarding the daily variation, as usual, the ‘cheapest’ section is concentrated around the first hours of the day, until settling at 144.8 euros/MWh in the section between 4:00 and 5:00: 00.

At what time is electricity more expensive?

On the contrary, throughout the day the cost increases, reaching its highest price at night, 403.97 euros/MWh (between 9:00 p.m. and 10:00 p.m.).

Why does the price of electricity vary so much?
