Green Cola, the cola soft drink made with stevia, natural caffeine extracted from green coffee beans and natural aromas, lands on the Spanish market to challenge Coca-Cola and Pepsi. It comes from Greece, where in two years it has established itself as the second best-selling cola brand, with a 12% share of the can market.
Specifically, the brand, which is registered in more than 160 countries and has a presence in more than 10 countries such as Greece, the United Kingdom, Germany, the Netherlands or Romania, reaches the national market as an alternative for consumers who want to enjoy a soft drink in a natural way, as reported by the company in a statement.
The new soft drink will be available in June, since the company is finalizing agreements with the main distribution chains at a national and regional level, with which it will have a broad representation at a national level in a large number of points of sale. Likewise, it is closing agreements with distributors of the Horeca channel.
The president of Green Cola Iberia and former European vice president and general secretary for Europe of PepsiCo, Íñigo Madariaga, has congratulated himself on the good reception of the product, since “distribution is responding very well”. “We are in the middle of the launch and negotiation phase, and very soon we will be able to announce new agreements with the main distribution groups at a national and regional level”, he has indicated.
Green Cola will be manufactured in the Asturian town of Meres after reaching a production agreement with Industrial Zarrazina, a bottling plant with extensive experience in the sector, which produces for leading consumer companies such as Fontvella, Schweppes, PepsiCo or Pascual.
The Green Cola Company, founded in 2014 in Greece by Periklí Venieri, an executive at Coca Cola Tria Epsilon, has been well received in the Greek market since its launch. Thus, in two years it has established itself as the second brand of cola drinks in the sector in sales, with a current share of 12% in the can market.
