How the Safari download manager works on iPhone and iPad

And you should know that you can download EVERYTHING on your devices. Videos, audios, documents, compressed files… everything that can be downloaded from a website, we can download and save in our iphone and iPad.

Of course, you have to configure it to your liking since it has different ways to store downloads.

How to download any video, audio, document… on iPhone and iPad in Safari:

The first thing we have to do is configure the place where we want the downloads to be saved. Accessing Settings/Safari we have to go to the option downloads and clicking on it, 3 options will appear:

• iCloud Drive: Automatically upload and save your downloads to iCloud. The changes you apply to the downloads folder will be synced across all your devices iCloud. This means that everything you download in this location will be available on all devices that have access to it. iCloud.
• On my iPhone: Save downloads only to the iphone. This makes them not available on other devices linked to your account. iCloud.
• Other… : We can choose a specific folder where we can save what we want to download.

It is your decision to choose where to save your downloads.

I, personally, have chosen the option iCloud Drive since when downloading many documents, I want to have access to them from my iphone, iPad and MacBook.

Where are Safari downloads saved?:

Once you choose the place where your downloads will be saved, you must access the app Files and from the main screen of the Explore menu, we access the location that we have chosen to save the videos, music, documents… that we have downloaded.

Once we click on iCloud Drive either on my iphonewe will simply have to access the folder “downloads” to access what we have downloaded.
