As its name indicates, it is a provisional statement prepared by the Treasury with the data it has on taxpayers. At the time of obtaining your personal draft, carefully review each of the data that appears as they may be missing, surplus or erroneous.

If you consider that your Treasury draft is complete and correct and that it does not force you to pay more or less, you can confirm it so that your 2018 Income Statement will be presented in a simple and fast way.

If, on the contrary, you consider that the draft that the Tax Agency has prepared for you does not reflect your current situation well (for example, because it does not include any income that you have received or does not practice) you can request its rectification or, in the event that the rectification not possible, refrain from confirming it.

The draft greatly simplifies the act of declaring, but it should not be confirmed with your eyes closed because it often omits important data that can lead you to pay more or less. And even if the error is from the Treasury, they can send you a parallel.

Who can access the draft?

Starting today, Tuesday, April 2, all taxpayers will be able to do so, using one of the identification systems indicated below. They will be able to access their draft and their tax data by electronic means at the Electronic Headquarters of the State Tax Administration Agency, at the Draft/Declaration Processing Service, from where they will be able to confirm and present the same or, where appropriate, modify it, confirm and submit.

Just remember that if what you want is to obtain the draft of the declaration for the joint taxation option, you must also state the Tax Identification Number (NIF) of the spouse and, where appropriate, of the other members of the family unit who receive income, as well as your reference number or Cl@ve PIN.

How can I access the draft?

The draft/return processing service can be accessed through or directly at The tax data of the personal income tax return will also be available at the Electronic Headquarters of the State Tax Administration Agency, at the electronic address , accessing through the procedure of “Tax data”.

In addition, taxpayers will also be able to access their tax data and the summary of the draft return through an application for mobile devices, after registering with it, using the Cl@ve PIN system or the reference number.

The draft tax return can be confirmed and submitted as long as they do not have to modify or include any additional data. In any case, failure to obtain the draft return or tax data does not exempt the taxpayer from their obligation to declare.

All taxpayers, whatever the nature of the income they have obtained during the year (work, movable or real estate capital, economic activities, capital gains and losses, as well as income allocations) may obtain the draft of the return through the draft/return processing service (Renta WEB), after providing, where appropriate, certain information that will be requested for this purpose, or other information that the taxpayer may include.

Since when and how do I access my draft tax return?

The term to obtain the draft and/or tax data starts today, Tuesday, April 2, and lasts until July 1, 2019. You can select how you want to access said draft: with your electronic identification certificate or electronic DNI, with Cl@ve PIN or with your reference number. The reference number may be requested by electronic means through the Internet at the Electronic Office of the State Tax Administration Agency or by telephone, by calling 901 12 12 24 (also accessible by telephone 91 535 73 26).

Obtaining a reference number invalidates the previous reference number that had been requested, in such a way that, in the event that several reference numbers had been requested, it will only be valid and therefore allow access to the draft or to the fiscal data, modify and, where appropriate, present the draft or the personal income tax return, the last reference number requested.

How do I modify my draft 2018 Income Tax return?

Taxpayers may request the modification of the draft income tax return when they consider that personal or economic data not included in it must be added or they notice that it contains erroneous or inaccurate data. The modification of the draft declaration may be made through any of the following means:

By electronic means

a) Through the Electronic Headquarters of the State Tax Administration Agency. The taxpayer can modify his/her draft through the Electronic Headquarters of the State Tax Administration Agency, at the electronic address accessing the Draft/Declaration Processing Service. To do this, the taxpayer must use one of the identification systems indicated in the previous section (recognized electronic certificate, Cl@ve PIN system or reference number). In the event of modification of the draft declaration by the option of joint taxation, the Tax Identification Number (NIF) of the spouse and their reference number or Cl@ve PIN must also be stated.

b) Through the phone. The taxpayer can modify his draft by calling the number 901 200 345 (also accessible by telephone 91 535 68 13), communicating his Tax Identification Number (NIF) and his reference number, previously requested by the State Tax Administration Agency , exclusively for those taxpayers who meet the requirements that appear in the Electronic Headquarters of the State Tax Administration Agency on the Internet. The taxpayer can modify his draft by appearing, upon request for an appointment, at any Delegation or Administration of the State Agency for Tax Administration, providing to prove his identity, among other data, his Tax Identification Number (NIF).

You can also request the modification of the draft of the return in person at the offices of the Tax Administrations of the Autonomous Communities and Cities with Statute of Autonomy that have signed a collaboration agreement with the State Tax Administration Agency for the implementation of the single window system. tax, under the terms provided in said agreement.

How do I confirm and file the draft return?
