There are several extensions that can allow us to carry out this task in a relatively simple way and one of them is Image Crawler.

The module Image Crawler for Joomla! 1.5 and 2.5 allows continuous horizontal scrolling of one or more images from a specific folder with an optional redirection link to the brand’s web page or wherever we want, either an internal or external link.

Images Crawler Configuration Options:

  • Set the image folder.
  • Include or exclude dependent subfolders of the set images parent folder.
  • Allow random passing of images.
  • Image transition direction (left or right).
  • Image link urls, separated by commas (eg index.php?option=com_contact, https://).
  • Repeat links (recommended in continuous transition).
  • Destination of the links in the Same Window or in a New Window.
  • Set the width and height of the transition area.
  • Set the background color of the transition area.
  • Set the transition speed.
  • Set the vertical alignment of images.
  • Set the width and height of the images.
  • Set the space between images.
  • OnMouseOver actions (mouse events).

Download the version of the module corresponding to the version of Joomla! In use:

From the Extensions Manager, InstallUpload Package File, select the module file, Upload and Install:

We use the component eXtplorer or the File Manager from WePanel to first upload the logo images to the /images/brands folder that we will later use in the module:

From the Module Manager we edit the installed module and set the publication position and the corresponding parameters together with the links of each brand:

After publishing the module in the appropriate position we can see the result in the front end:
