WooCommerce extension to create your own membership site. We may display or restrict content based on whether users are members or not.
The operation is very simple. Let’s imagine that we have a content of our site (articles, videos, posts, products… whatever) that we only want people who have paid for it to see. Well, this is what allows us to do this extension.
We simply have to create a “Membership” (a subscription level, a club…) and indicate what product you have to buy to become part of it. And that’s it. Automatically, all those customers who buy the product in question will now become part of the club.
Then you can indicate what content you want to restrict. Some options are as follows:
- restrict content (posts, pages, etc.) for members only.
- restrict categories (and labels) so that EVERYTHING under those can only be seen by club members.
- Restrict products, so that only members can see.
- Restrict products, so that only members can buy.
- Restrict “chunks” of content via shortcodes. Very useful to have a free part (for example text, which everyone can see) and a private part (for example the videos that accompany the text only for members).
- Give special discounts to certain products or product categories for members only.
And as if that were not enough, these membership levels can also be linked with the , so that members will only have access to the content while they are registered. That makes it perfect for creating a recurring payment membership site.
