As shown by the data from the (OMIE), the organization that manages the electricity markets of Spain and Portugal and collects their rates, the average price of electricity in Spain during this Friday, February 25, is 240.13 euros/ MWh. Very high figures when compared to the price set a year ago, when the MWh cost 41.37 euros.

Regarding the daily variation, the cheapest sections are concentrated in the early hours of the day. It is between 4:00 and 5:00 when the price is at its lowest curve to settle at 153.32 euros/MWh.
At what time is electricity more expensive?
On the contrary, the central hours of the morning as well as those closest to dusk represent the highest cost, reaching 300 euros/MWh between 7:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m.

Why does the price of electricity vary so much?
