Scholarships for opponents: what are there and how can they be obtained

Specifically, this threshold affects the so-called ‘baby boom’ generation, those born during the 1960s who are beginning to face the last years of their careers.

But studying an opposition is certainly not easy. Hence, there are scholarships to favor and support those who take that path.

Justice, the only area benefited for now at the national level

Of course, for now, they are only available for some Justice oppositions: judges, prosecutors, lawyers from the Administration of Justice and State lawyers.

This year there have been 245 scholarships with an endowment of about 1.6 million euros to give a scholarship that is usually around 6,600 euros on average. The Ministry explains how to apply for one of them.

Among the requirements is the level of income, having passed previous public selective processes and certificates of disability or having been a victim of gender violence or terrorism.

The need to prepare the opposition under the direction of people who belong to the career or body to which it is hoped to access, or of a preparation center, is also contemplated, and a quarterly justification of the fulfillment of the activity object of the opposition will be necessary. scholarship.

In some autonomies, such as the Valencian Community, the Basque Country and Catalonia, there are also some annual calls for financial aid for opponents.
