Singular Bank obtains authorization to buy UBS’s private banking in Spain

has already obtained all the regulatory authorizations required for and from UBS Management SGIIC, thus meeting the deadlines set for closing the operation for the third quarter of this year.

After the acquisition, valued at around 200 million, Singular Bank will have a team of almost 400 professionals, a network of eleven offices, located in Barcelona, ​​La Coruña, Las Palmas, Madrid, Málaga, Murcia, León, Seville, Valencia and Zaragoza and a digital operating platform so that each of its customers can choose their relationship channel with the bank at any time.

UBS’s private banking clients and teams will be integrated into Singular Bank once the operation is completed, the entities said in a statement.

Singular has added that the operation is in line with the growth strategy announced by the entity at its launch in 2020 of integrating businesses that provide strategic and economic sense and that are aligned with its customer-centric values.

We have expanded and improved our value proposition to customers, with the aim of adapting the bank to the needs of each customer and helping them to achieve their financial objectives”, highlighted the CEO of Singular Bank, Javier Marín.
