Some citizens may have certain difficulties in accessing the telematic means of Social Security that allow them to manage procedures online. For this reason, there is also the option that these procedures can be resolved by SMS, although for this method the telephone number must be previously registered in the body’s database.

The citizen must enter their personal data (DNI, name and surname, telephone, postal code and email) and must explain the reason for the communication and demonstrate possession of the mobile phone with some accrediting document.
In addition, you will have to indicate the province in which you reside, choose the category ‘Citizen/Worker’ and then the procedure ‘Communication and variation of data/Domicile’. With everything filled out, you will have to answer a security question and you will be able to submit the application.
Once you have achieved registration, you can carry out procedures via SMS. Social Security already has up to 58 different services that citizens can carry out without having to resort to a digital certificate (), or username + password, and has created a link that includes all the grouped services, with direct access to start each Procedure.

In each of them, you must click on the option ‘via SMS’, and by entering your ID, date of birth and your mobile phone, you will get Social Security to send a verification code to your phone. When you enter it, you can start the process.
