A year after the start of the pandemic was decreed, finally non-reusable on their shelves. As strange as it may seem, the Valencian chain had never marketed those that are considered the best protection, but the demand of its clients has ended up changing the company’s position.
In the last year, anyone has ended up going to a supermarket to get a mask. An element that was hardly found in the establishments at first, then was very indispensable in pharmacies and finally ends up being found in any corner of the street. All because of its mandatory nature, since it is the main means of fighting the coronavirus.
However, in the midst of the niche that supermarkets and regular stores had found in the sale of masks, Mercadona had not marketed non-reusable FFP2s until now. The one that is understood to be the most effective mask, with a 94% filtering, and that from the next few days it will already be in its corridors, although gradually and only for adult sizes.
How much are Mercadona’s FFP2s worth?
Some masks that will be sold in packages of three units for 2.70 euros. That is to say, less than one euro for FFP2 (0.90), which will mean a significant boost given the price of these in other places.
