COMMITTEE OF INFLUENCERS HAHAHAHAHA

the rules exist
The truth is that there are already regulations of different types that control what can be said, shown and done on social networks. It is true that in the traditional media such as the press, radio or television, the regulations had more time to adapt, but that does not mean that the new channels are a space of free will.
Each social network has its own internal regulations that must be read and accepted before creating a profile. On the other hand, daily the algorithms and the (human) teams of Facebook, Instagram or YouTube check that there is no offensive content, nudity, calls for violence, pedophilia, explicit sex, among many others. Sometimes bordering on ridiculous, like because a person dropped his pants on camera while the famous gamer broadcast live.
There are also entities like the independent body for self-regulation of the advertising industry in Spain, that already has on inappropriate behavior of influencers. On the other hand, the same entity together with the Spanish Association of Advertisers drafted a of conduct for Spanish influencerswhich entered into force on January 1, 2021 and which was endorsed by the Ministry of Economic Affairs and the Ministry of Consumer Affairs.
said document regulates sponsored content and it forces influencers and marketing agencies to make it explicit when content is part of paid advertising. From the Government they understand that these new personalities are opinion leaders and that can influence the behavior of millions of people. Not being transparent with the content is misleading and even dangerous for the community of followers.
Something similar happened in Norway, where the Ministry of Childhood and Equality, with the aim of preventing this from harming young people and generating anxiety.
Naim’s skid and the official response
All this mess started a few days ago, when the young influencer was interviewed by him and admitted that he tricked women into having sex without a condom. Then he added fuel to the fire by recording a video in which he gave details of his “modus operandi” and justified himself by saying that using a condom “it cost him a lot«.

Within hours of the statements, the minister of equality, Irene Montero reacted on Twitter saying that “Removing the condom or ejaculating inside without consent is today sexual abuse and the Law of Only Yes is Yes will recognize it as assault. Bragging to 26 million followers about something like this reflects the urgency of putting consent at the center.”. And he announced that brought to the attention of the Prosecutor the statements of the tiktoker.

This is the Full transcript of the latest stories uploaded asking for the regulation of influencer activity:
“Something good always comes out of everything bad. This time, I have done the wrong thing, but I hope this marks a before and after. People ask ‘how can this guy have 26 million followers at 19 years old?’ Well that’s it, guys. And what is there to do? Point at me or point at the people who don’t pay any fucking attention to us? Government, which does not want to realize that we are a fucking media? So important, that now they use us to get votes. So if you use us to get votes, at least support the community. Let there be a fucking committee of influencers, let things be regulated, that there is a norm, as there is on TV, in the newspaper and on the radio, ok? And that way, these kinds of problems won’t happen. I screwed up, but let’s see if we can help the community a little bit.
They only act when it suits them. 4 years ago we were the last shit. The TV only spoke of those from Andorra because they looked a little for their convenience, but nobody has looked for us (…) There are issues that politicians always have to talk about. And if you look, I’ve talked about some of those issues: abortion, now I’m talking about this. The Minister of Equality, of course she has to speak.
Then, What if I have done this so that all of you have my attention and tell you once and for all to help us? The community cannot be without support. We are a very large medium and we need advice, we need this to be studied, we need you to realize once and for all that this is the communication of tomorrow, not television.
(…) The real problem of everything is that right now any person without much study, or anything, if they get followers, they are a very important means of communication and he has to be well advised because the mentality of the kids depends on that person, on a group of people in this country. And well, he has to do something ».
