The Samsung Galaxy Note 4 is updated to Android 6.0

A few months ago, we informed you that the last Samsung Galaxy of the Note family that arrived in Spain was beginning to receive the – at that time – latest Android update, 5.1.1 Lollipop. Today, it seems that there are already some Samsung Galaxy Note 4 that are running under Android 6.0 Marshmallow, the new version of Google’s operating system. Although it has not yet reached the main flagships of the South Korean company, there is a user from Hungary who is already enjoying this update on his Samsung Galaxy Note 4. Could it have been a specific case or does this indicate that it is already When the cloud ration falls for this terminal?

Note 5 features come to Samsung Galaxy Note 4 thanks to Marshmallow

That a terminal like the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 has already received the Android 6 update collides with the information that was leaked last month, where we could see regarding the update phases of its devices. In it we could read that the first terminal that would benefit from Marshmallow was the Note 5, a terminal that has not been marketed in Spain and most of Europe. The others, including the Galaxy S6 family and the Samsung Galaxy Note 4, appear dated February 2016.

Although there would be barely three months left for the South Korean firm to begin deploying Android 6.0 Marshmallow to the Samsung Galaxy Note 4, it could be that they have either brought it forward, or we are facing one of those “test” cases to ensure correct operation of the update before expanding it to the entire world.

Be that as it may, one of the new features that this update brings to the terminal is the possibility of taking quick notes with the screen locked, just as the Note 5 can do, when you take the S-Pen out of its slot. It also receives the Air Command function, inherited directly from its generational replacement. As expected, Samsung has taken advantage of the Google operating system update to tweak its own interface, change icons and improve animations. Generally, a greater speed is perceived in the system response compared to the previous version.

On the other hand, the focus is pointing to the Samsung Galaxy S7, of which little by little each time. It is very likely that the company’s new flagship will be presented during the first quarter of 2016, probably at the MWC in Barcelona, held in March.

What is certain is that the Korean firm will begin to deploy its new mobile payment method, Sasmung Pay, with a new system that ‘imitates’ a credit card and does not need NFC connectivity to make the transaction effective, a detail that differentiates it from the competition.
