For many people today their summer vacations end and it is in this month of September when they decide to prepare for the oppositions. In this sense, the Official State Gazette (BOE) publishes the new calls for competitive examinations and public employment for the coming months.
In the latest data published by the State Public Employment Service (SEPE), there are more than 23,000 job offers, and more than 4,500 public employment positions that can be accessed through an opposition. That is why the 2022-23 season is an important course for all those who are planning to compete and get a place as a civil servant.
“September is a key date for oppositions, where calls such as that of the General Bodies of the Administration of Justice will be published from this month”, reveal sources from CEAC Oppositions. From CEAC they also foresee that the General Bodies of the General State Administration will be published for the last quarter of 2022. “Finally, the call for the National Police and Civil Guard has not yet been published, but they are two oppositions that are called all the years”, they add from CEAC Oppositions.
The most demanded oppositions in 2022-23
The level of demand may change over the years, but within the public administration the most demanded oppositions fall into the following categories.
Security and Armed Forces. This is one of the areas with the greatest offer of places and, of course, they are usually among the most demanded oppositions within the state sphere due to the great regularity of calls and the high number of places called.
General State Administration. In this field, probably the oppositions with the greatest demand are those of Administrative Assistants. In a second step, with a smaller offer of places and more demanding requirements, are the oppositions of tax technician and tax agent.
Justice. Those of Judicial Assistant are the most affordable and demanded and having an ESO degree or equivalent is enough. For Procedural and Administrative Processing, a Bachelor’s or Technical degree is required and the selection process is a little more complicated. Likewise, one of the ones that has generated the most interest in recent years due to its growing number of places in recent calls are the Penitentiary Institutions Assistant oppositions.
Public companies and companies. In this area, the Correos oppositions clearly stand out, being one of the most requested, call after call.
