Having a good internet service at home has become one of the top priorities for Spanish households. This is attested to by the Organization of Consumers and Users (OCU), which already places this condition well above the fixed telephone rate or even the preferred operator for pay television. For this reason, the institution where the companies that provide these services and have the best value among their clients emerges.
New technologies and habits, such as the growth of teleworking, have led to the fact that having a good internet connection from home, with its respective services, has become a priority for Spaniards. Even more important than knowing how to choose the company that carries the mobile data, it is with the use of fiber (which 87% of those surveyed already have) when this need has been further enhanced.
In addition, the OCU warns that it is not necessary to spend more than 33 euros per month to have a good internet service at home, from 100 megabytes of connection, which also usually includes a sufficient rate for the mobile in the price. And it is that both, internet at home and on the mobile have become a combo that most companies already offer together since it is the most demanded by users.
Simyo, undisputed queen under the fiber service
Operators that are under constant analysis by the OCU, as has been noted in other studies, this time leave an unusual podium with Simyo, Pepephone and O2 as the most outstanding. The three with a score equal to or greater than 80 out of 100, according to the opinion of the users, reign in the Internet service at home but also appear as the most outstanding in mobile or fixed telephony.
Property of Orange and with low-cost service in Spain, from this list thanks to its overall satisfaction of 83 points. Of course, only with regard to the use of fiber, since with ADSL service it is the subsidiary of the MásMóvil group, Pepephone, who leads the table, with a general satisfaction of 81 points.
Companies under constant review by the OCU that in this case have in common the fact of being low cost. And it is that with this it is demonstrated again that paying large amounts of money for services is not usually synonymous with the best benefits. Now with the internet at home, an increasingly essential aspect, the institution encourages all its clients to see which one best suits their needs.
