Spring is the best time of the year to buy or renew a television. According to the Organization of Consumers and Users (OCU), it is in these months when the main manufacturers renew their ranges, “which encourages many establishments to get rid of the stock of models from the previous year”.
For this reason, you can find discounts of over 30% on previous models, “with just twelve months old”. “In fact, it is not uncommon to find good models of more than 40 inches, 4K ultra HD resolution and Smart TV (Internet connection) for less than 400 euros,” they explain.
For this reason, and obeying the comparative analysis published in the magazine Compra Maestra for the month of May, OCU highlights some of the best models, according to different sizes.
40 to 43 inches
“Sales of televisions of this size have grown a lot, and there are Smart TV models with 4K ultra HD resolution of good quality for less than 400 euros,” they explain from the organization.
Thus, two models stand out:
– The 43-inch LG 43UP78006LB has two HDMI connections and a USB port. It stands out for its good sound quality, its built-in voice control and ease of use, with intuitive menus. Among its drawbacks is a narrow viewing angle and poor screen uniformity. Depending on the surface in which it is purchased, its price ranges between 380 and 499 euros.
– The Samsung UE43AU7105, also 43 inches, has three HDMI and USB connections. It stands out for its good image quality, with excellent contrast, and a wide viewing angle. On the other hand, it is penalized by screen uniformity, “very improvable”, and that it does not have voice control. Depending on the sales site, it can be purchased for a price between 360 and 440 euros.
48 to 51 inches
“Televisions of this size are also being sold more and more. Now there are large TV models at affordable prices: in fact, the average price of 50” televisions dropped below 400 euros for the first time, something unthinkable a few years ago “, details OCU.
In this category, OCU highlights three televisions: the LG 50UP78006LB (from 3.88 euros), the LG 50UP75006LF (from 346 euros) and the PANASONIC TX-50HX830E (from 749 euros). All three, 50 inches, have an LCD-Led panel, although the last one has an Ultra-HD resolution, while the first two, 4K.
over 55 inches
“The larger models dominate the technical novelties. They present a quality to match: the models with the best results are from the Samsung and LG brands, and there are televisions that offer very good features for less than 600 euros,” says the organization.
Thus, only one model stands out: the SAMSUNG UE55AU7105, 55 inches and on sale from 454 euros. It has good results in both audio and image quality, with an LCD-Led panel and 4K resolution.
