Gone are the times when studying Vocational Training was seen as a minor path with respect to the University. Now, last year, 41.3% of the offers were looking for FP graduates, compared to 33.7% for university graduates and 1.9% for master’s degrees.
With a new one that will expand the available titles and their connection with the company, Spain continues to need profiles of this type due to the demand of the labor market. Various reports in recent months have made it clear that some of the FP titles are among the most demanded by companies and that they have the highest number of exits.
The FPs with the most job opportunities
The SEPE and the Ministry of Education publish contracting by degree, among which it can be seen that some of the middle and higher grades are among the most demanded.
According to the Labor Market Report that is published annually by the Public Employment Service, workers who hold vocational training degrees are especially valued in the business world and are among those with the best chances of entering employment. The work market.
We must not forget that internships in companies within the training period, called Training in Work Centers, and Dual VET projects increase the chances of finding a job for VET graduates in the same company once the training is completed or of finding a qualified work.
The Vocational Training offer, with theoretical and practical content appropriate to the various professional fields. Each of these families is aimed at providing training in the most emerging and innovative professional fields in the economy and, therefore, with the greatest possibilities of joining the labor market.
Among the FP profiles that receive the most offers, we can find several groups. On the one hand, those that are linked to administrative management, all classics of this formation. On the other, those linked to health, such as Auxiliary Care (Nursing Assistant) or Clinical Laboratory Technician.
Teaching also fills these positions with titles such as the Higher Degree in Early Childhood Education. But the great novelty of recent years is the teachings linked to computing and new technologies, as an expert in systems or application development.
Specifically, in 2020, these were the FP titles that signed the most contracts:
– Intermediate Degree in Administrative Management: 160,806 contracts signed
– Higher Degree in Administration and Finance: 109,149 contracts signed
– Intermediate Degree in Auxiliary Nursing Care: 105,474 signed
– Higher Degree in Early Childhood Education: 54,351 contracts signed
– Intermediate Degree in Electrical and Automatic Installations: 41,442 signed
– Higher Degree in Social Integration: 25,351 contracts signed
– Higher Degree in Teaching and Socio-sports Animation: 17,487 contracts signed
– Higher Degree in Administration of Computer Network Systems: 15,995 contracts signed
– Higher Technical Degree in Electrotechnical and Automated Systems: 13,650 contracts signed
– Higher Degree in Multiplatform Application Development: 13,529 contracts signed
– Higher Technician Degree in Clinical and Biomedical Laboratory: 13,209 contracts signed
And the FPs with the best employability trend
In addition, other data from the Ministry also show demand in recent months. And the conclusion is that, at least in the beginning of 2021, some specializations in Health, Construction, and digital jobs are the sectors that are moving the most hiring.
Among the first we find the degree of Higher Technician in Audiology, Documentation and Health Administration or Imaging and Nuclear Medicine. All of them have increased their hiring more than 80% in recent months.
On the part of construction, which is experiencing its particular ‘boom’ in the sector of reforms, we find Construction Technician or Higher Technician of Projects of Work that grow more than 30% also in all of Spain.
Among the digital professions, although the SEPE has not yet processed many of the new cycles registered in recent years (because its students have not yet finished), we do see how the 3D Printing and Video Game Technician has grown by more than 25% hires in recent months.
Last days to enroll in FP
