Most of the Social Security procedures can be done through the possession of methods of access to them such as the digital certificate (it can be obtained in four simple steps) or Cl@ve PIN or permanent (this is the registration for get them), but in some cases citizens do not have them, so there must be an alternative option.
This is what happens when you want to access, for example, documents such as work history, the contribution base report, the current situation report… and even the Social Security Number. Although these reports and documents can be obtained electronically, if you do not have a digital certificate or Cl@ve, you can request that they be sent to our address.
It is a very useful tool, since the citizen only needs an Internet connection and a device with a camera. Through the home delivery services of Import@ss, the Social Security online procedures platform, this delivery can be requested.
However, the agency sets a condition: that the address indicated by the citizen must coincide with the one that Social Security has in its database. If they do not coincide, the citizen can change the address that appears in that database and, after that, be able to carry out the previous procedures quickly and without further problems, as explained by the entity.
Change the address in Social Security without a digital certificate
People who do not have a digital certificate or Cl@ve (those who, it is assumed, may need this procedure the most), must fill in the TA.1 form by which any data change is communicated to the General Security Treasury Social. The organism allows to unload it without difficulties.
In the form, the citizen must indicate their personal data: name and surname, DNI or NIE, date of birth, Social Security Number, contact information… and the reason for the communication, which for this specific case is the one that is recorded as ‘Data Variation’. Next, you must indicate the new address that Social Security must consider as the citizen’s domicile.
When the TA.1 form is completed correctly, it must be downloaded to the computer from which the procedure is carried out (a computer, a smartphone, a tablet…) and then attached to the application that the citizen has to manage through Import@ss, although without the need for a digital certificate or other access methods.
Through the ‘Send an application’ service (), you must attach the TA.1 model, indicate the DNI or NIE, date of birth, an email address and a photograph of the applicant showing the front of their DNI or NIE . This is possible through the same device from which the request is processed.
Change the address in the Social Security with a digital certificate
The change of address can be registered in a different and faster way, although it is an option that is not as peremptory, since it is for people who have other alternatives to carry out procedures: those who have a digital certificate, Cl@ve, Electronic DNI or they can do it via SMS (with the Social Security mobile phone number).
For all these people the mechanism is different and much simpler: they only have to access the personal area of Import@ss, where they can change the data referring to their address in a few seconds.
