Inditex will launch its latest store concept with its Zara, Zara Home and Stradivarius brands in the renovated Plaza de España in Madrid, after signing an agreement with Inbest Socimi, the company that co-owns the Edificio España on Gran Vía 84, as reported by the company on Tuesday founded by Amancio Ortega.
Specifically, details EP, the three brands will add 9,000 square meters in two stores that will be accessed from a newly created car park and from the square, where sidewalks and pedestrian accesses are being expanded, and in which the planting of more than 1,300 new trees.

The stores are scheduled to open over the next year and will incorporate both the technological innovations of the integrated store platform and ‘online’, which, according to the firm, will allow it to provide a reinforced service to the customer complemented by the internet store, as the latest advances in environmental sustainability.
In this way, Zara will occupy more than 7,700 meters distributed over four floors, including a basement floor that will have a warehouse that will allow immediate replacement service. Floors one and two will offer women’s collections, incorporating in the first of them the new section and the ‘online’ collection section, with a robotized silo with a capacity of up to 1,500 orders.
The third floor will be dedicated to the Men’s section and to the new Zara Home store concept, which divides the spaces like the rooms of a home “in an enveloping way, seeking maximum simplicity to guarantee the prominence of the designs and facilitate a tour comfortable and pleasant”. On floor -1 there will be the Children’s section.
The store will also propose self-checkout areas and will have the ‘Store Mode’ experience, which is available through the Zara app for all the brand’s establishments in Spain. Together with the booking services for changing rooms and locating items in the store, it plans to incorporate the new ‘Pay&Go’ function, which will allow customers to purchase garments simply by scanning them using their mobile.
For its part, Stradivarius will have 1,200 meters on two floors, with two entrances from the street. It will have ‘Store Mode’ through the brand’s mobile application and self-collection areas.
The two stores inside the Edificio España are incorporated into the space of the Plaza de España, which is being renovated as a result of the ‘Welcome Mother Nature’ project by which 90% of the land is pedestrianized and more than 1,300 trees are going to be planted. of 50 species.
