Following this trend of internationalization, the Spanish company has surprised with its entry into the Italian eCommerce with the purchase of Ventis. This new addition, worth €9.5 million, It represents the second acquisition within the European country, as well as the first marketplace for Making Science. In this way, the consultancy continues betting on the diversificationnot only boosting its international reach but also the breadth of its business.

Thus, the marketplace has own credit and debit cards, called Ventis Card, that offer, among other benefits, the possibility of receiving a €50 shopping voucher and free shipping for all purchases to customers who spend more than €1,000 a year on the site. They also offer 5% cash back on every purchase and two free annual returns.
Another of the main attractions of this marketplace is its potential in the Asian market that Aguilar mentioned. Since 2019, Ventis has offered the possibility of buying its products directly from the popular Chinese app.
These particular characteristics make it an attractive option within the italian electronic market, one of those with the greatest potential in Europe. According to ICEX, the e-commerce penetration rate in this country has gone from 32% in 2019 to 33% in 2020, and is expected to reach 40% in 2023. Similarly, it is estimated that there are around 33 million users of e-commerce platforms in Italy, with expectations that in 2021 they will reach 36 million.
Making Science seeks to promote the internationalization of Spanish businesses
