Why doesn’t communism work as an economic system?

There are those who have wanted to define communism as an accurate machine to produce poverty. And although we must recognize that this assertion lacks the precise nuances that explain what the communism of Karl Marx and Friedrich Engels really is, however, it must be pointed out that the communist ideology has its gaps.

Despite the fact that this ideology has penetrated more than half the world (Russia, China, etc.), there is no country throughout history that has chosen this political system and that is not clearly distanced. It is evident that it is quite impossible to make everyone equal in wealth. Therefore, the only possibility of becoming equal, if we must be, is in a certain degree of poverty.

On the one hand we are not all equal and on the other it is a serious injustice to treat the unequal equally.

In addition, we must not forget that in relation to the Economy, to date, any attempt to implement what has been called a Planned Economy, in the end, has been shown to have been a resounding failure.

It is practically impossible to pretend to carry out an absolute control of any economy, be it small or large. This is something infeasible and mathematicians have perfectly explained why through what they call deterministic chaos. Furthermore, in this changing world in which we live, and in the global village in which we find ourselves, you must constantly compete in the markets.

And for this it is absolutely necessary to be able to be flexible, to be able to change what is pertinent, with the due immediacy, in order to be able to offer the goods or services that are in demand, to be able to obtain the sufficient competitive advantage and thus obtain the position desired, which allows sustainability in any company.

Try to support the thesis that a planned economy is better than a market economy; turns out to be totally wrong and illogical in our days. These types of economies can never be productive in practice, precisely because they are not competitive. And this obviously will lead to an economic disaster, without any doubt.

For this reason, it is evident that a market economy, with the concurrence of healthy competition, continues to be the best choice as far as an economic system is concerned.
