There are two ways to disable private browsing mode in Firefox. You can install a plugin called Disable Private Browsing Plus Mode which will disable private mode completely in Firefox.

As in Firefox, the Incognito Mode o Private browsing mode in Chrome can be disabled using the Windows Registry.

Right-click on the key Chrome -> New -> DWORD (32-bit) Value. Name the value IncognitoModeAvailability and set your value to 1. To re-enable it, simply set the value to 0.
Find out what you want to do with your browsing for each browser, whether to be tracked or not to be tracked. It is good for each user not to play with the settings. Keep them as they are.
