uploading CSV Woocommerce : Sorry, this type of file n…

Hi Ricardo.

The error is being given by WordPress itself. Checking I see that you have updated WordPress with the latest security patch (4.9.9 or 5.0.1). In this security patch, a bug has been detected that affects the upload of csv files, since it is not supported in the core of WordPress as an allowed file.

The solution would be to modify the WordPress functions file as indicated in the following link:

->

To modify the file you can do it by FTP or from the cPanel file manager by accessing the path: wp-includes -> functions.php.

Before modifying the file, we recommend that you make a backup of it (for example by copying the file with another name: functions-original.php) or downloading it to your computer. In this way, in the event of any problem that you detect, you will be able to recover it quickly.

This adjustment, being made on the WordPress core, will be overwritten with the next update, although we hope that they will have it resolved in that one.

Another option that does not go through modifying WordPress is to modify the file that you import. You can use the following tool:

I hope my answer helps you, if it doesn’t or you need something else you just have to inform us.

All the best
