Hello Victor,
To know how to manage the entries (or post) you must first know the different states that exist:
Published: The entry has been published on the blog and anyone can see it.
Pending review: The post has been submitted by a collaborator. It must be published by an Editor or an Administrator, before it is visible to blog readers.
Draft: An unpublished entry. It will not be visible to readers until it is published.
From there, when you edit an entry or post, you already know that in the status dropdown you can change it to another state without having to delete the entry.
Another option is to use plugins like Simply Exclude that allow easy post status management.
