Bnext will charge a commission for withdrawing cash at ATMs from November 20

Bnext will start charging its customers for cash withdrawals, credit card deposits and transactions in other currencies from November 20, 2021.

This has been conveyed to its clients in a communication consulted by Europa Press, in which it explains that the increase in commissions applied by third parties for this operation of its clients has made it necessary to change the conditions of the service in order to continue offering benefits to long term and ensure “quality service”.

As an example, the fintech explains that the average commission paid for cash withdrawals at ATMs and that Bnext returned to its users was one euro, while in 2020 this average increased to 2.4 euros.

For this reason, as of November 20, Bnext will make a change in the terms and conditions of its users’ accounts and cards.

On the one hand, the cost that the entity that owns the ATM charges for withdrawing cash in Spain and abroad will be passed on to the user, without surcharges, when until now it allowed three or five cash withdrawals at ATMs for free, in depending on the type of account contracted.

The commission that Mastercard charges for operations in other currencies will also begin to be passed on to the customer, which is 0.1% in Europe and 0.9% + 0.44 euros outside the EU.

As for card deposits, they will continue to be free for those made with a debit card, while credit card deposits will be subject to a 1% commission on the amount.

Bnext has confirmed that it will not charge any extra commission for maintenance or account closure. In addition, it has launched a promotion valid from November 20, 2021 to January 31, 2022 for which it will return the accumulated commissions for cash withdrawals in Spain, up to a maximum of two euros per month, to those users who make spending more than 150 euros with your card per month.
