Buscoresi, the solution to the search for accommodation that is successful among students

The Buscoresi startup is the first search engine that allows thousands of students to consult and contract accommodation in residences and residence halls, thus managing to accompany family members and students in this process in a much more efficient way and adapted to their needs.

The business idea arose after the previous experience of its founders, Aitor Rodríguez and Víctor Ramírez, two engineering students who met at the university and lived an odyssey to find accommodation in Barcelona. Now they offer an easy and fast solution both to students, managing the registration process, and to residences, capturing leads and accompanying them until the moment of sale.

Its objective is to offer a cheaper alternative to renting an apartment, since the payment of a residence can include supplies, activity programs and meals. And it is that another of its missions is also to promote these spaces as a place to create personal and professional links at a crucial stage where students begin to direct their future work.

There is a growth in the demand for accommodation for university students and, for this reason, in 2021 an investment of 8,400 million was made in European university residences, according to data from the consultancy Savills.

In addition, Buscoresi has closed its first round of financing of €340,000 led by Josep Casas, co-founder of Naturitas. The investment round, which closed last March in just two weeks, has the capital of 19 investors. Among them are: Jesús Alonso Gallo, Business Angel and founder of restaurantes.com; Jesús Rebollo, CEO of Doctoralia; Gorka Puente, co-founder of Manfred; Fran Conejos, co-founder of Landbot; Juan José Mostazo, founder of Homa Games; Javier Etxebeste, investor and former president of Yahoo! Spain; David Arroyo, former CDO of MotoGP and the Vermú venture capital platform.

Spain is one of the leading destinations in southern Europe for students who decide to take an Erasmus scholarship. “We expect an avalanche of reserves in the coming months and this round will help us to be able to manage the volume and continue growing,” explains Aitor Rodríguez.
