Download directories and files from the site to my pc

Hello,

I am working with Joomla 2.5.6, Corporate 2 and Listbingo 2.0.2

Since currently one of the limitations of the Listbingo extension is the lack of resize for the images that are uploaded as a registered user, I can’t stop thinking about how to find a solution when it comes to saving space. (Update 2.0.2 is still compromised)

In this regard, the ignorance of the user public plays against the autonomy of contracting my server, so I have thought of some alternatives:

1) Wait for an update to fix the limitation.

2) Go into the extension code and replace some specific div with a jQuery queue uploader widget.

3) Modify image by image, unitarily downloading the file to my PC, modifying it, without renaming it and uploading it again in the same folder as administrator and from the multimedia manager.

4) Look for the alternative, from the joomla administrator to be able to download several previously selected images to my pc, modify them and re-upload as a set. I have noticed that from the multimedia manager you cannot download several images together, but you can upload them with a limitation, no more than 10 files allowed.

5) Controlling the disk space from Cpanel, make a backup with Akeeba periodically, download and unzip it on my pc, resize all files, including subfolders (it takes only seconds with VSO Image Resizer), compress the folders with zip and restore my site.

6) I consider ideal the possibility of downloading the /images/classifieds/ directory with all its sub-folders and contents to my pc, modifying the sizes and “weight” of the images uploaded by the users and uploading again replacing the old directory with the new.

See also  at the bottom of the template there is an unlabeled upload icon...

That is to say that what I am looking for is an alternative as the Explorer offers me. I have noticed that from cPanel, a single file can be downloaded and several can be uploaded and replaced (overwritten) with a limitation of 12 images.

Given my great interest in solving this conflict, I would greatly appreciate finding a practical way out. Thank you so much.-
