Five cheap electricity rates without permanence to save in summer

The price of electricity has moderated slightly in the month of June, but even so, the best way is to review our bill and compare it with the best offers on the market.

The Organization of Consumers and Users (OCU) has searched among the main electricity companies to find five rates at a good price that are not easily accessible – many do not appear on the web or in the companies’ advertising.

As the electricity market regulator, the CNMC, recalls, if you have a variable electricity rate (PVPC) you can change to a fixed rate at any time and at no cost. On the contrary, energy companies may charge you a commission if you cancel a fixed rate contract early – the cost must be stated in the contract.

These are the recommended rates for this summer.

Endesa Free Rate

Endesa’s rate catalogue, whose link is quite hidden on its website, includes this new rate that is only available to contract in branches and by calling 800 76 09 09.

It offers a 10% fixed discount on the energy term (kWh consumed) and, temporarily, an additional 10% discount for 12 months, to which is added 2% for having an electronic invoice. It has no permanence.

-Price for each kWh consumed: 0.15211 (with the 22% discount already applied)

-Price per kW contracted during peak hours (fixed term): €33.86

-Price per kW contracted during off-peak hours (fixed term): €8

Endesa Rate Connect

This newly created rate cannot be accessed from the Endesa website or by browsing its menus, but you can access it .

The Connect Rate does not have permanence and is limited to homes with up to 10 kW of power. To the indicated prices must be added the cost of limiting the price of gas.

-Price for each kWh consumed: €0.195012/kWh for 24 hours

-Price per kW contracted during peak hours (fixed term): €33.86

-Price per kW contracted during off-peak hours (fixed term): €8

Total Energies

Total Energies offers a personalized price plan and to find out the rate, you have to upload the bill to the web and receive a personalized proposal. This allows the company to beat whatever prices the prospective customer is paying, but presenting the most aggressive offers only to customers who already have a low rate.

Other distributors already offer this service, but Total Energies is currently launching offers with discounts also for those who already have very good prices. The commitment is to maintain the personalized discount for 5 years, but the price on which that discount is applied is only maintained for the first 12 months.

Depending on the type of rate you want, you will have to click on one or the other link to access the offer:

-Rate with 2TP2TEEV (oriented to the electric car but valid for any supply)

-Rate with 1TP1TE

Tariff with and two different powers 2TP3TE

The OCU experts remember that if your starting rate is good, you could get bigger discounts by taking advantage of the Total Energies comparison system.

Repsol Tariff Long Term

Repsol offers this rate intermittently in this and it is not possible to get there by browsing the web menus.

This rate is currently among the best on the market in terms of the price per kWh consumed, although the contracted power in the valley is expensive.

-Price per kWh consumed: €0.17/kWh

-Price per kW contracted at peak hours: 29.90 euros

-Price per kW contracted during off-peak hours: 29.90 euros per kW, the same as during peak hours.

It is a rate without permanence and with prices that will remain fixed for 36 months (except regulated costs). If your consumption is not very high or if you need more power at night (for example, because you have accumulators), you can find better options.

Iberdrola Rate Online

The Iberdrola website does not make it easy to locate this rate either. The rate is not present in the company’s comparator, nor in the quick access to its rates, although it is accessible from the pdf “”.

-Price per kWh consumed: €0.216705/kWh

-Price per kW contracted during peak hours (fixed term): €30.67

-Price per kW contracted during off-peak hours (fixed term): €4.10

Like other of these rates, it is reserved for online contracts and without permanence.
