To put Google search on your page you basically have two alternatives. One is based on an Adsense search ad and the other option you can get through a Google product called “CSE”.
Although one works with Adsense and the other doesn’t, you can actually link both of them to your Adsense account if you want to get some monetization from the searches on your site.
adsense: to achieve this you have to enter your Adsense account and select “Ads for search” in the main options on the left.
CSE: It stands for “Customized Search Engine”, if I’m not mistaken. You enter from https://cse.google.es/ and with your google account you can create various search sites, which you must configure.
In both sites you get a code that you have to insert into your page, while in the case of CSE you need two pages, one that shows you the form and another where the search results are displayed. Read the help for more information.
