Leroy Merlín and Bricomart, in addition to AKI, are recognized brands in the retail sector of DIY and construction material in Spain, all of them belonging to the French multinational Adeo.
With more than 16,000 employees in Spain, only the largest of them, Leroy Merlin, the firms of the Adeo group have become one of the largest employers in their sector, and right now they have more than 1,500 open job calls available.
Specifically, Leroy Merlin has 1,312 offers open, and 189 from Bricomart.
The group has distributed profits among its workers
This new batch of offers coincides with the announcement by Adeo that Leroy Merlin and Bricomart announce that they will distribute 8 and 2.5 million euros respectively among their workers as help in the face of rising inflation.
In the case of Leroy Merlin, the French company, this month will distribute one with a seniority in the company of more than 6 months, an amount that will become effective this week and that will add an amount of 8 million euros.
Bricomart has also announced that this month it will distribute an extraordinary payment of 500 euros to its staff with more than six months of seniority, regardless of their job category and their working day, a measure that will affect around 4,000 people and whose amount amounts to €2.5 million.
Requirements to work at Bricomart or Leroy Merlin
Returning to job offers, at Leroy Merlin there are positions where no experience is required, but others, which fall within what Leroy Merlin calls specialists, are. These professionals are sellers with hands-on DIY experience in various fields.
For these positions it is required to demonstrate experience in these guilds, but in other positions amateurs and DIY lovers with a vocation to serve the public are encouraged to register.
In the case of Bricomart, they usually search their offers for personnel with at least some experience in the jobs they offer.
This experience is palpable when you see that all their sales positions have an area of specialization (electricity, tools, hardware…) where experience with this type of job can take precedence over sales to the public.
Bricomart also has some more requirements such as residing in the province of the warehouse where you want to work and having your own car or transportation option, since its centers are usually located on the outskirts.
