What is LiveAction?
Live action is a way of making movies using real actors and actresses but they are filmed inside or in digital animations. The name is also applied to video games and the like that also use real actors.
However, the term refers more to adaptations of comics, animations, and classic books. Movies like the Flintstones, Maleficent, Resident Evil, Aladdin and other remakes of Disney classics that have been released in recent years are good examples of live action.
Some live action movies also use real actors alongside animations, as in the case of movies like Space Jam, Mary Poppins, and Looney Tunes: Back in Action.
Much of the success of live actions is due to the use of CGI technology, which consists of computer generated images. This technology has become essential for cinema, since the vast majority of these films are very commercial, with large budgets and mass distribution.
But to better understand this style, seeing is better than talking. Let’s see some examples of live actions that have been blockbusters in recent years.
