Qiddiya Investment Company has unveiled the highly anticipated plan for Qiddiya, the “Giga Project”, which is currently under construction just 45 kilometers from Riyadh, the country’s capital. Qiddiya aims to become the “entertainment, sports and arts capital” of Saudi Arabia with facilities and experiences on a scale and format never seen before. This entertainment capital, whose first phase will open in 2022, is organized around five thematic areas, each with a unique purpose.
1.Resort Core
The Resort Core represents the heart of Qiddiya, where four private attractions surround a central district specializing in shopping, dining and entertainment, along with a portfolio of distinctive resort hotel offerings. Adjacent to the commercial district is a major outdoor entertainment venue capable of hosting events for a capacity of 5,000 to 40,000 visitors, set in an environment dotted with ski and skate facilities.

2. Six Flags Qiddiya
Six Flags Qiddiya, is a family-oriented park, full of attractions distributed in six themed areas. It also includes a second park with similar characteristics, but with water sports and entertainment attractions, which includes an integrated hotel complex.
3.City Center
The City Center will be dedicated to sports and the arts. It is home to a collection of sporting facilities including a 20,000 capacity cliff top stadium, an 18,000 seat indoor arena, an aquatics center and a sports center capable of hosting a cross section of individual sporting events and activities. A 2,000-seat performing arts theater and a first-class cinema make up the cultural proposal.

4.Echo Core
The Eco Core, designed around a series of encounters with nature and wildlife, will feature an ecologically sustainable golf course, outdoor sports experiences and various accommodation offerings to enjoy the picturesque desert setting.
5.Race Resort
The Race Resort is designed for adrenaline lovers, as it has a 15-kilometre speed circuit, where driving courses can be taken. Facilities for both on-road and off-road driving experiences will also be built, driver education classes will be held and motorsports events will take place within a landscape surrounded by a mountain backdrop.
