I use Wp 3.8.1
The Easy Digital Download plugin Version 1.9.8. its function, download files upon payment through the gateway. It’s very simple but I found it effective.
The problem: once the product is added to the cart, a new page appears with a button called “Checkout” to access the shopping cart, but the following message “Your cart is empty” appears, so the process of payment stops.

I just transferred my domain to and before making the migration and during the period that the website has been on the temporary server, the plugin has worked correctly.
Say that I have uninstalled and installed the plugin several times, but the problem continues.
