11.1 Uses of this object
The first point to note with the hidden object is that it is “invisible to the user”. The user cannot see it and therefore cannot interact with it.
The hidden object only serves to collect user information and preferences in the form of text. For example, we can keep the user’s name during all the forms on different pages:
