The neobank Qonto opens a new headquarters in Barcelona to grow in Spain

Qonto, the neobank of French origin aimed at companies and the self-employed, takes a step in its strategy to win customers in Spain and opens a new office in Barcelona. Initially, the facilities, located on Paseo de Gracia, will house 30 professionals, but the fintech’s goal is for the workforce to reach one hundred by 2023.

The opening of the headquarters, according to the entity, occurs after having exceeded 150,000 customers in Europe and in parallel with the establishment of two offices in other markets (Italy and Germany). .

The head of Qonto in Spain, Carles Marcos, points out that “the simultaneous opening of three branches constitutes a very important milestone and demonstrates the good moment the company is going through, in a context in which neobanks are consolidating as a service that they resort to more and more companies and freelancers”. “Barcelona is a privileged geographical point from which to continue growing in Spain due to its connectivity, the availability of talent and a quality of life that will also allow us to import top-level professionals from other markets,” he adds.

For his part, Alex Prot, CEO and co-founder of Qonto, indicates that with this measure “we are taking a further step in our development and international growth thanks to a differential commitment, capable of solving the daily difficulties faced by entrepreneurs when managing their finances”.
