The Valencian Government suppresses capacity and schedules in all economic activities

Indoor bars and restaurants, nightlife or gyms will be able to use their full capacity in the Valencian Community starting next Saturday, although limitations such as a maximum of 10 people indoors and outdoors in hotels or the use of masks inside will be maintained. of the premises.

This has been announced by the President of the Generalitat, Ximo Puig, after chairing the interdepartmental meeting for the prevention and action against Covid-19, who has decided to put an end to a large part of the limitations still in force in the Valencian Community as of next Saturday, the day that the regional festival of October 9 is celebrated.

The Interdepartmental Commission has approved that it can be consumed in hotel bars and nightlife venues will no longer have a capacity or time limit except for the one stipulated in each case by their own regulations in each municipality. The dance floors can be used, but with a mask, but it will not be possible to consume on them. The same will happen in museums, theaters and auditoriums, which will be able to work 100% except in acts that involve consumption.

According to Puig, capacity is also suppressed except in events that are held standing, where an average of 2.25 square meters per attendee will have to be maintained. In addition, music festivals will be allowed and, according to the Generalitat, if controls are carried out and attendees are required to have a Covid passport, the requirements will even be reduced.

In the case of masks, the obligation remains in closed spaces and outdoors if the distance cannot be maintained. In addition, a minimum distance of two meters will be specified to be able to smoke and, according to Puig, it will continue to be prohibited to do so on terraces.

covid passport

Puig was also in favor of extending the Covid passport for access to certain events and venues to guarantee security, although he pointed out that he would like this to be a common decision by the State and the Autonomous Communities for all of Spain.

With this announcement, the Valencian president can make the desire he had shown to be able to stage what he calls “improved normality” come true, after having to resume more severe measures this summer just a few days after eliminating them.
