Beer is the most consumed alcoholic beverage in the world, surpassing others as popular as wine, whiskey or vodka. For this reason, they have since compiled a ranking of the 50 best beers in the world, of which three are Spanish.
According to Brand Finance, the best beer in the world is Corona, of Mexican origin. The value of this brand increased by 21% to reach 7,000 million dollars. Heineken (Dutch), meanwhile, is in second place with a 23% rise in its brand to $6.9 billion. Budweiser, American, with a valuation of 5,600 million, closes the podium.
The rest of the beers that occupy the top-10 are: Bud Light (USA), Modelo Especial (Mexico), Snow (China), Miller Lite (USA), Coors Light (USA), Kirin (Japan) and Asahi (Japan) .
As for the Spanish ones, the best beer is Estrella Damm. Originally from Barcelona, this beer has established one of the most outstanding falls, since in 2021 it was ranked 24th. Today it is ranked 30th. The valuation of the Estrella Damm brand has appeared in 11 brand rankings, including the strongest and most valuable brands in Europe, the biggest beer brands and the best brands in Spain.
The second highest rated beer for Brand Finance is Mahou. Originally from Madrid, this brand ranks 32nd. The Mahou brand’s valuation has appeared in 11 brand rankings, including the largest beer brands and the best brands in Spain.
For its part, Cruzcampo, of Sevillian origin, manages to enter this list even if it is in last place, in 50th place. The Cruzcampo brand valuation has appeared in 10 brand rankings, including the largest beer brands and the best brands in Spain. Cruzcampo is the only brand that grows in value: 3%
