The Community of Madrid has opened this Tuesday, November 16, the deadline to obtain one of the tourist vouchers that until May 15, 2022 are distributed for visitors with an amount of up to 600 euros. While supplies last, the budget for this item is around 5 million euros, the money can be exchanged for 50% discounts in the capital and its adjoining municipalities.
From 9:00 on November 16, you can now request one of the savings checks with which the Madrid region wants to encourage visits to its territory over the next eight months, as well as help the hotel industry after the blow suffered by the covid-19.
Very oriented towards the trade of travel agencies and tourist accommodation, since last November 10 all the companies that have requested it have been able to adhere to this campaign.
An endowment that, in the case of tourists, rewards with a 50% discount on all reservations made of the selected products up to a maximum of 600 euros. Of course, with a series of conditions, the management of the program is carried out by the Chamber of Commerce of the Community of Madrid.
So you can get 600 euros to visit Madrid
– In order to enjoy this discount of half the original price of a service (subsequent expenses in said establishment are not borne by the promotion, only the initial payments), the tourist must previously book at the agency or accommodation, minimum 10 days prior to arrival.
– Once the reservation is accepted, the next step will be to go through the , where the Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Sports has enabled a form in which you must attach your name and surnames, email, age, ID, contact telephone number and address to register.
– Already with a profile created, it will be necessary to request the tourist voucher through the private area, attaching a copy of the reservation. It is important to know that you can only make one request per month and you cannot have a pending bonus to request a new one.
– Once these conditions are fulfilled, a confirmation of acceptance of the voucher will be received, as well as a QR code and an alphanumeric code to be delivered at the reservation establishment within a period of 10 days from the request.
– Given this, the discount will be effective and the visitor will have a payment of 50% of the contracted price.
Requirements and conditions of the Madrid tourist voucher
– In a clear commitment to benefit national tourists, the Community of Madrid only grants these discounts to visitors with Spanish nationality or legal residence in Spanish territory, provided they are of legal age.
– In addition, it will only subsidize the services and products provided by travel agencies and tourist accommodation adhering to the program () with a minimum stay of one night (two nights if the price includes transportation from outside the region).
– For its part, beyond the aforementioned rejection of more than one bonus per month or others requested as long as there is one pending to enjoy, consumption in the bar and minibar, consumption of alcoholic beverages, pay television and expenses for changes, cancellation or cancellation of the reservation.
– Finally, the reserved services “must be consumed within 40 calendar days after the formalization of the reservation”, warns the (BOCM).
– In addition, the program recalls that, for tax purposes, “the amount of the subsidy is an increase in assets that will be taxed in the Personal Income Tax of the beneficiary”.
