The month of December has arrived with news for pensioners due to the rise in , influenced by the November Consumer Price Index data. However, other pensioners were already warned about the increase in their benefits for next year. This is the case of those who receive non-contributory pensions.
The Minister of Inclusion, Social Security and Migration, José Luis Escrivá, anticipated that his pensions and, in effect, will be so: non-contributory pensions will rise by 3%, as established.
These non-contributory pensions are paid to more than 445,000 people (), those who do not meet the criteria for contributory retirement and disability pensions and for whom basic economic and assistance coverage is guaranteed.
Non-contributory pensions are of two types: retirement and disability. In each of the modalities there are basic amounts that will be updated in January with the increase in this type of pension. Thus, by 2022 these basic amounts will be as follows:
Basic non-contributory retirement pensions
-The amount when you are entitled to the full pension will be 421.406 euros per month and 5,889.60 euros per year.
-The basic pension if you are entitled to 25% will become 105.35 euros per month and 1,474.90 euros per year.
-When two beneficiaries of the same pension coincide in the same family unit, the individual amount for each of them will be 358.19 euros per month and 5,014.66 euros per year.
-When three or more beneficiaries of the same pension coincide in the same family unit, the amount for each of them will be 337.12 euros per month and 4,719.68 euros per year.
Basic non-contributory disability pensions
-The amount for people who are entitled to the full pension will be 421.40 euros per month and 5,889.60 euros per year.
-The pension for people entitled to the 50% increase (from 80% disability) will be 632.10 euros per month and 8,849.40 euros per year.
-When within the same family unit there are two beneficiaries of the same pension, the amount for each will be 358.19 euros per month and 5,014.66 euros per year.
-When there are three or more beneficiaries of the same pension in the same family unit, the amount for each of them will be 337.12 euros per month and 4,719.68 euros per year.
