This is the hamburger that McDonald’s has had to withdraw due to its high demand

Strange effect that McDonald’s has experienced at the beginning of 2022. What was going to be a test of a new product, with a view to implementing it in its stores around the world, has ended in an “incredible” demand that has caused the most famous restaurant chain, momentarily, of its catalog.

Seeing, in the 21st century, a McDonald’s in any big city on the planet has become as normal as finding the most central square or a bank. With more than 34,000 restaurants spread across every conceivable location, the chain’s latest strategy has even overwhelmed its own servers.

To the point of having to withdraw what was going to be its great novelty to launch this year, on February 2 the chain presented the Chicken Big Mac in the United Kingdom. A hamburger that McDonald’s wanted to see how it worked in Europe, since since 2017 it had been present in Australia.

The Chicken Big Mac only lasted nine days.

However, its success was so great that after nine days, the company had to release a statement announcing that it was withdrawing it from its premises. “Demand has been incredible and we just can’t keep up. As such, we have made the decision to pause the promotion, let our restaurant teams and suppliers restock and prepare for their return in a few weeks.”

McDonald’s does not reveal the date of when its Chicken Big Mac will return

Not without thanking its customers for their interest, McDonald’s confirms in this way that the Chicken Big Mac will return soon, although with no date in sight. A hamburger similar to its characteristic Big Mac but that changed its meat for chicken, at a price close to 5 euros (4 pounds).

“We will keep customers informed about its return through the usual channels. Thank you to everyone who has made this our most popular launch,” the chain said in an announcement that many customers are already waiting for. With no view of it spreading to other continental countries either, some users have wanted to take advantage of this latest McDonald’s boom and have the Chicken Big Mac for sale on portals like eBay for about 100 pounds.
