JPG is used for all types of images on the web, mainly photographs, but you can use it wherever you need.
Actually, JPG is the default format for me, because it’s the one I choose first.
I don’t choose JPG is when I need transparencythat the JPG does not allow it.
But if I don’t require transparency, then JPG is my first choice. However, if it is a drawing and not a photo, I always look to see if the same image in a format like PNG is capable of being more compressed, generating a file of less weight.
