- Write “Regedt32.exe” and click on “To accept”.
- Windows Defender will ask if you want to make the changes. You will have to click on “Yes”.
- Choose the folder “HKEY_CURRENT_USER”.
- Next, look for the option “Software”.
- Click on “Microsoft” and then search “Office”.
- Choose the version you have of “Word”for instance “16.0”.
- Click on “Word”.
- Right click and choose “Remove”.
- A window will appear asking you if you really want to permanently delete this key and all subkeys, you must click on “Yes”.
All that remains is to restart the word processor for the changes to take effect.
