In the second class of the advanced OBS Studio course we are going to delve deeper into audio configuration using VTS plugins.
In the basic course we learned how to configure the different types of sound in OBS Studio and how to make all the audio sources: music, microphone, game, etc., work in harmony. We even learned how to separate the audio into different virtual inputs, without the need for expensive audio consoles or complicated setup.
We are going to go deeper into the audio configuration and the VTS plugins, which allow us to configure in the smallest detail how we want our voice to be heard, and how we want the rest of the audio sources to behave according to our voice. Go for it!
Does a good sound totally change the final result? We have gone deeper into the use of VST plugins, which are our best ally when it comes to expanding our options with audio configuration.
OBS Studio has very capable tools to help us tweak our audio, however, through VST plugins we can have the most professional customization possibilities. We can retouch absolutely everything in detail.
In this class we have learned to better understand what each of the options of each of the Reaper VST plugin modules implies. There are other visually more attractive plugins, but this one in particular is the most widely used and the one that offers us the most features for free.
However, we have also known other plugins such as NOVA, which allows us to make advanced configurations of our audio with a more attractive and comfortable interface.
As homework, we are going to encourage ourselves to get our hands on the Reaper VST plugin. Let’s remove any filters we currently have applied, and set each of the modules we’ve touched to remove background noise and enhance our tone with the equalizer.
