Best WordPress plugins for social networks –

monarch

This paid plugin is from the developers of Elegant Themes, and is one of the most beautiful you will find (although this is something personal of course).

It’s a plugin very simple, both design and set up. But that doesn’t mean it’s not a complete plugin. In fact it is quite the opposite, it has lots of possibilities.

It allows you to add social buttons on the side, at the beginning and end of the post, on images (like SumoMe), and it also allows you to create popup windows in the middle or in a corner to encourage your readers to share your post on their social networks.

In addition it is fully responsiveso whichever option you choose, it will always look good from a mobile device.

Regarding the number of buttons you can add, it is more or less like the others: 20 social buttons, which is certainly more than enough.

Y the buttons are also customizable in its aesthetics: colors, size, order, animations when hovering over, etc.

It includes accountants to show how many times each post has been shared and internal statisticsso that you can carry out a more rigorous control, which is appreciated.

In addition, it is very easy to configure. It has a very intuitive control panel that guides you through boxes that you only have to check or uncheck to change the settings of this social plugin.

However, and although everything looks very good, the truth is that you might have performance issues.

eye! It doesn’t happen to everyone, and in fact this is a widely used plugin for its ease and beautiful aesthetics. And if it malfunctioned, no matter how beautiful it was, people would stop using it.

However, depending on some blogs, it sometimes happens that it makes a lot of requests to the server, which means that the hosting where you have the blog hosted needs to consume more resources. And if you reach the resource limit, access could be blocked so as not to collapse it.

I read this for the first time in , but even so, since it was a well-known plugin and from a very powerful developer, I decided to try it and assess it for myself.

And yes, it didn’t last even 24 hours since I had to remove it because the hosting ran out of resources.

If it hadn’t been for that, I would have stayed with this plugin without hesitation. However, from my bad experience (and I’m not the only one), I recommend that you test it carefully first.

But that said, it does not have to give you problems. It’s not a bad plugin, far from it, and if you like it and it works well for you, I think you won’t want to try another 😉 In fact, it’s widely used and that’s why I wanted to include it here.

But I don’t gain anything by talking good or bad about one plugin or another and I’ll tell you everything I’ve experienced myself.
