What is the history of your store? Where did the idea of creating an online store come from? Did you previously sell offline?
BLACK CLOUD: Nube Negra had been in the wholesale market for commercial premises for years. I personally distrusted the success of online sales, until Mariano, a person totally unknown to me (until then), called me on the phone, introduced himself and invited me to have a coffee in order to make me see the opportunities I was missing and volunteer to help me develop the online store project. So it was, thanks to his impulse, his passion and his generosity that I started Nube Negra Shop.
Did the idea of launching an online business generate any fear in you?
BLACK CLOUD: To be honest I was not afraid, the investment was not significant and from that point of view there was little to lose. Although our online sales grow day by day, our largest sales volume was and is wholesale sales, so we saw this online venture as a complement to our sales.
Do you remember your first sale? What were the strategies to get the first customers?
BLACK CLOUD: I don’t remember exactly the first sale, but yes I remember well the first person who bought for the second time. It was the first sign that something was righta totally hopeful feedback.
What are you doing to promote your products on the internet? What is the strategy that works best for you?
BLACK CLOUD: we are doing paid campaigns on facebookfor now it is our most effective method of expansion.
What payment gateway do you use and why? Do you recommend it?
BLACK CLOUD: We are using Dineromail. Select this payment gateway due to beginner’s ignorance. I had no major problems but I am also using Mercado Pago in another project and so far, the latter has been more effective for me.
How have you been with the growth of your store in the last time?
BLACK CLOUD: Fortunately we have grown significantly in recent times. We know that it is due to the expansion (because of the campaigns) and because of the great variety of products that we have at the moment.
Now that you have some experience in electronic commerce; What advice would you give to someone who is thinking of creating an online store and starting from scratch?
BLACK CLOUD: That he understands that in most cases, an online store is at a disadvantage compared to a commercial premises due to the impossibility of physically touching and appreciating the product, so that he does everything he has to do to build customer trust. Also, think that each sale you make is a constant test or evaluation of the person who buys towards our brand. If it goes well, if it arrives in a timely manner, that customer will buy again.
