CaixaBank places its plans among the most profitable in the long term

Individual pension plans begin 2022 with a new reduction in the ceilings for tax deductions, which will go from 2,000 euros to 1,500 euros as of this year, and with competition from employment plans, which he intends to promote with the products of public promotion. In this context, not all managers can boast of offering the best long-term appreciation for their clients over different periods of time.

And among the firms that can show their chests is Vidacaixa, the group firm that manages the entity’s pension and insurance plans, which has two of its variable income plans, among the twenty with the highest volume of assets, as the most profitable to ten, five and three years. These are CABK Renta Variable Internacional and Plancaixa Tendencias, which are among the top ten for revaluation in these time periods. A record, since not all large estate plans repeat these terms systematically.

In the case of CABK Renta Variable Internacional, which manages 1,310 million euros – the second largest plan by assets – it earns an annualized 18.30% over three years, while over five years it obtains an annualized 15.57%, percentages that they rank you first for performance. At ten years, it achieves 11.43% and is placed in second position by , according to data from Morningstar.

In the case of Plancaixa Tendencias, which with 2,104 million euros is the largest individual variable income plan, at three years it offers an annualized 16.02%, thus placing it in fourth position by performance, while at five years it provides 12.48% annualized and ten years, 9.79% annualized, percentages that place it in fifth and fourth place respectively.

Better in the long run

Only Naranja SP 500, managed by Renta 4 for ING, manages to repeat this feat of being among the ten in the long term, with 17.29% annualized over three years (second position), 14.64% annualized over five years ( second position) and 13.49% annualized over ten years, which places it in first place for performance.

Other plans, such as BK Variable America, managed by , manage to be among the top ten, but only in two periods: at ten years it achieves an annualized 10.69% and a five-year annualized 13.51%, percentages that place it in third and fourth position respectively. The same is true of the Santander AGG RV North America plan, which earns 13.60% annualized over five years (third place) and 16.25% annualized over three years (third place).

CABK Renta Variable Internacional and Plancaixa Tendencias are also among the plans with the largest number of participants: 38,002 in the case of the first and 27,130 in the case of the second, according to Morningstar data, so these good revaluation results have allowed CABK to benefit a broad base of savers.

Focused on growth

The analysis firm Morningstar awarded CABK International Variable Income this year, which with 34.5% ranks as the tenth most profitable plan in 2021, with data up to December 28, the prize for the best global stock market plan, a a distinction that it shares with Fondomutua Bolsa Europea, as the best European stock plan, and RGA RV Española, as the best Spanish stock plan.

Eduardo Martínez, deputy director of investments at Vidacaixa, explained in a recent interview with elEconomista that the success of CABK RV Internacional was due to a strategy focused on growth companies, which had led to a bias towards US companies.
