Coca-Cola with Jack Daniel’s in a can: the new product that will be released at the end of 2022

The union of Jack Daniel’s with Coca-Cola or Jack & Coke is a guarantee of success for whiskey lovers. Until now, to be able to enjoy this cocktail it was necessary to have a bottle and the soft drink (plus ice) separately. However, within a short time it will be available in stores directly mixed, through the can format.

This has been announced by Jack Daniel’s and Coca-Cola, through a joint announcement with which both companies intend to “accelerate the expansion and continue the growth of our business throughout the world”, in the words of Lawson Whiting, executive director and Chairman of Brown-Forman Corporation, marketer of whiskey and the largest American spirits company.

“This relationship brings together two classic American icons to bring consumers a taste experience they love in a consistent, convenient and portable way,” said Whiting.

Inspired by the classic bar cocktail, the drink will be made with Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Whiskey and Coca-Cola. It will be available in markets around the world, with an initial launch planned for Mexico at the end of 2022. In addition, the range will include variants with less sugar. The product will have 5% alcohol, although this concentration may vary depending on the limitations of each country.

Other ready-to-drink beverages

The idea of combining a liquor with a soft drink in the can format is not innovative, since some brands such as Bombay, Tanqueray or Jameson already practice it. Nor is it to mix it with a cola, since Bacardi markets it with its Bacardi Rum & Cola, along with other examples.

However, it is the first time that The Coca-Cola Company has offered its flagship product in a format like this to its public. To date, the company had Lemon-Dou, currently in Japan, China and the Philippines; Topo Chico Hard Seltzer, in more than 20 markets; Schweppes premixed cocktails, available in Brazil; and the new Simply Spiked Lemonade and Fresca Mixed, in the United States.

For its part, Brown-Forman already marketed a Jack Daniel’s drink mixed and ready to drink, as well as other brands (El Jimador or Part Time Rangers, among others).
